• Only 1,963 Porsche 911 S/Ts were ever built, with example #1919 being one of the rarest.
  • Driving the rare model is a screaming 4.0-liter flat-six with 518 hp and a six-speed manual.
  • Low-mileage examples are already fetching $400,000, raising auction expectations.

The Porsche 911 S/T is one of the most special limited-run 911 models launched in recent years, and next week, Porsche Cars North America will offer one in auction at no reserve. All money raised will benefit the American Red Cross, particularly those impacted by the wildfires that wreaked havoc on California.

Just 1,963 examples of the 911 S/T were built and the example in question is number 1,919. It’s part of PCNA’s internal fleet and it’s the only one in the US not yet assigned to a customer. RM Sotheby’s will handle the auction and has waved their normal auction fees.

Porsche says the car being sold was “meticulously” run in by a team in Stuttgart, Germany, and currently has 956 miles (1,538 km) on the clock. It’s finished in the handsome Shore Blue Metallic, a color only available when ordered with the optional Heritage Design package. The wheels are also rather special with a Ceramica finish, and there are also large ‘60’ motifs to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the 911.

This 911 S/T also features the available Full Bucket seats and has a cabin clad in two-tone Black and Classic Cognac semi-aniline leather upholstery. Other features include a front axle lift system, an extended range 23.7-gallon fuel tank, and a Bose audio system.

The 911 S/T had a starting price of $290,000, but it is now worth much more than that. Indeed, there are some used examples available in Europe with prices of well over $450,000. It seems inevitable the example being auctioned off by Porsche will fetch a staggering sum.

Porsche Selling Rare 911 S/T To Help CA Wildfire Victims

Amid the chaos of the recent California wildfires, footage from outside a Los Angeles home went viral. In the clip, a man can be seen hastily ditching his black Tesla Model Y while he pulled out his rare 911 S/T from a garage and made his getaway, saving the car.

The winning bidder of #1919 will also receive a custom matching timepiece from Porsche Design. Director of Porsche’s GT model line, Andreas Preuninger, will also sign the owner’s manual pouch.
