Off-road enthusiasts love the Jeep Wrangler, but South Florida firm SoFlo Customs recently set about creating a very unique Wrangler. It’s known as the SoFlo Speedster and is a mix between a two-door sports car and a hardcore off-roader. The firm says this is what the Wrangler Rubicon 392 should have been like all along. Regardless of whether you agree, there’s no denying this thing is bold.

The Speedster is powered by a 6.4-liter Hemi V8, pumping out an almighty 575 hp, or 105 hp more than the Rubicon 392 offers. These gains have been achieved thanks to an upgraded exhaust and a tune. SoFlo has then cut the cabin in half, eliminating the rear section and the rear doors, turning this into a two-door with a five-foot bed at the rear and a custom steel roll cage.

Ensuring the Speedster can climb up scary cliffs just as well as it can cruise down the Florida Keys is a set of 22-inch wheels clad in 40-inch Nitto off-road tires. It also has front and rear 44-inch Dana axles with electronic locking differentials and a “sports-tuned” suspension. SoFlo says the 4×4 has “sports car handling on rails,” and while we doubt it handles anything like a traditional sports car, it could be impressively polished for a truck with giant wheels.

Almost every single square inch of the Jeep’s exterior is custom, including the aggressive new fascia with new LED headlights and a sharp grille with two bright red tow hooks. It can also be optioned with power side-steps, and the doors can be easily removed. Plenty of work has been done to the cabin, too, including newly trimmed weatherproof surfaces and a thumping audio system.

SoFlo Customs has already built at least three examples and is accepting orders for newly configured ones. Prices start at $99,999 and top out at $129,000.
