• New to the 2025 model range is a striking shade of red known as Metal Oxide.
  • Toyota has also added distinctive 17-inch wheels with silver and black spokes.
  • The same synthetic leather as the C-HR has been added to the Corolla’s cockpit.

The 12th-generation Toyota Corolla has just been updated in Europe for the 2025 model year. The changes made are relatively minor, but do touch on the car’s exterior design and the interior. Sales start later this month, although market-specific prices have yet to be announced.

As before, the Corolla continues to be sold in Hatchback, Sedan, and Touring Sports guises and is available with 10 paint options. A new addition to the range is Metal Oxide, a shade of red that’s offered exclusively with a contrasting gloss black roof on the Hatchback and Touring Sports models. The sedan can be optioned in Metal Oxide with a matching roof or a contrasting roof.

Toyota has also replaced the color-matching wing mirrors of all models and now fits gloss black mirror caps as standard. Moreover, all Mid+ grade models come with distinctive 17-inch wheels with a silver and machined black finish and star-shaped center caps.

Toyota Gives 2025 Corolla A Modest Refresh In Europe

The Japanese brand’s updates continue in the cabin, although they’re unlikely to get customers all that excited. Like the CH-R, the steering wheel and gear shift knob of the 2025 Corolla is now clad in synthetic leather. Hatchback and Touring Sports models in the Mid+ grade can also be optioned with new recycled fabric upholstery. According to Toyota, this new material “feels good to the touch” and is “hard-wearing,”.

No powertrain changes have been mentioned, meaning Toyota will likely continue offering the Corolla in Europe with the same hybrid 1.8-liter and 2.0-liter units as before. The 1.8-liter delivers 138 hp, while the 2.0-liter is rated at 193 hp. Finally, the latest generation of Toyota Safety Sense comes standard across the Corolla family.
