• Spy photographers have snapped the facelifted Porsche 911 Turbo S on the Nürburgring.
  • The updated coupe sports new bumpers, a revised exhaust, and restyled intakes.
  • We can expect a hybrid powertrain with an electric motor integrated into the transmission.

Last fall, Porsche confirmed the facelifted 911 Turbo family would go into production in the second half of 2025. They also revealed it’s getting a hybrid powertrain similar to the GTS.

Fast forward to today and spy photographers have snapped an undisguised prototype undergoing testing on the Nürburgring. Caught wearing fake daytime running light stickers, the updated coupe sports an evolutionary front bumper with more pronounced intakes that feature vertical slats. They’re joined by new headlights and some other minor tweaks.

Bigger changes occur out back as the rear end has been reimagined. It now has vertical vents at the outside edges as well as a new four-tailpipe exhaust system. We can also see a new center section, ribbed accents, and repositioned reflectors.

Besides the obvious changes, the car will likely be equipped with new wheels and an updated interior. The latter should sport a curved 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.9-inch infotainment system, and revised switchgear.

Porsche has been tight-lipped about specifics, but the current 911 Turbo has a twin-turbo 3.7-liter flat-six developing 572 hp (427 kW / 580 PS) and 553 lb-ft (749 Nm) of torque. The Turbo S boosts those numbers to 640 hp (477 kW / 649 PS) and 590 lb-ft (799 Nm).

While the company is playing coy, the 911 GTS gives us some clues about what to expect. It features a newly developed 3.6-liter six-cylinder boxer engine, a 1.9 kWh battery pack, and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission with an integrated electric motor producing up to 54 hp (40 kW / 54 PS) and 110 lb-ft (149 Nm) of torque. This enables the model to produce a combined output of 532 hp (397 kW / 539 PS) and 449 lb-ft (608 Nm).

When the GTS was introduced, Porsche noted that was an increase of 59 hp (44 kW / 60 PS) compared to its predecessor. If the Turbo lineup gets a similar increase, we can expect an output of nearly 700 hp (522 kW / 710 PS).
