- 1975 Bronco restomod features 5.0L Coyote V8, 10-speed automatic, and dual-range transfer case.
- Cabin upgrades include plush brown leather seats, Vintage Air climate control, and stereo system.
There’s no shortage of expensive, overbuilt off-roaders on the market right now, but sometimes it’s the classics—carefully updated and dialed in—that really steal the spotlight. Starting at a touch over $90,000, the Ford Bronco Raptor isn’t exactly anyone’s idea of a bargain. And for some buyers, this restomodded 1975 Bronco currently up for auction on Bring a Trailer might be a far more tempting proposition.
The classic Ford has two more cylinders than the Raptor, a heaping dose of old-school charm, and a curb appeal the modern version just can’t replicate.
This particular Bronco changed hands in September 2021 for $57,000, before undergoing a full transformation courtesy of Badass Broncos out of New Braunfels, Texas. The overhaul began with the body being stripped down and repainted in a deep metallic blue—a shade that doesn’t just look good; it absolutely gleams.

In addition, the glass was replaced, new chrome front and rear bumpers were installed, and there are modern LED headlights. It also rocks a roll cage and comes with both a hardtop and a black soft top, making it the perfect all-season off-roader. Even more significant mechanical changes were made.

For starters, the Bronco now features a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 coupled to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Badass Broncos also fitted a new dual-range transfer case, Adams Extreme Duty driveshafts, and rebuilt the axles. It also includes Bilstein shocks, MOAB brakes at all four corners, and sits in 15-inch alloy wheels with 35-inch tires.
A Cabin Worth Cruising In
Heaps of upgrades have also been made to the Bronco’s cabin. Plush new brown leather adorns the seats, the rear bench, center armrest, and part of the dashboard. There’s also a new Pioneer stereo and a Vintage Air climate control system. A three-spoke, wood-rimmed steering wheel has also been added.
Sure, most people aren’t cross-shopping a factory-fresh Bronco Raptor with a lovingly restomodded 1975 Bronco—but maybe they should be. The modern Bronco might pack more tech and creature comforts, but there’s no denying that this classic has more personality and will probably turn more heads at the trailhead (or the grocery store parking lot, for that matter).
