• Dodge has reduced pricing on several Durango and Hornet trims across the lineup.
  • The Hornet now starts at $29,995, offering a savings of $1,590 for buyers.
  • The Durango also sees sizeable cuts, including a six-figure discount on the Hellcat.

Stellantis had a weird fixation on premium pricing and this helped to drive sales into the ground. While Jeep is the poster child of this madness, Dodge hasn’t exactly been a wallflower. However, the company is now correcting course and slashing prices right as the U.S. economy enters a turbulent new era filled with mass layoffs and a global trade war.

Starting with the 2025 Durango, Dodge is slashing the price of the entry-level GT from $41,995 to $38,495. That’s a savings of $3,500 and it should help to make the 14-year-old SUV slightly more appealing.

The base model isn’t the only version getting a significant price cut as the Durango R/T’s price falls from $54,890 to $49,995. That’s a savings of $4,895 and buyers will find a familiar 5.7-liter Hemi V8 pumping out 360 hp (268 kW / 365 PS) and 390 lb-ft (528 Nm) of torque.

Speaking of V8s, the 2025 Durango SRT Hellcat will cost $84,995. That’s a huge drop, as the model is currently available exclusively in Hammerhead, Silver Bullet, and Brass Monkey guise priced from $113,720, meaning the entry price has been slashed by $28,725. However, the 2024 Durango SRT Hellcat had an MSRP of $95,995, so technically, you’re looking at a savings of $11,000 when comparing the same trim.

That’s pretty generous considering the model has a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 producing 710 hp (529 kW / 720 PS) and 645 lb-ft (874 Nm) of torque. This enables the three-row SUV to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.5 seconds, run the quarter mile in 11.5 seconds, and hit a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h).

The Dodge Hornet is also getting a sizable price cut as the cost of entry drops from $31,585 to $29,995. That’s the same price as the Ford Bronco Sport, but Dodge noted their crossover delivers the “most horsepower in its segment” under $30,000.

The Hornet GT is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine developing 268 hp (200 kW / 272 PS) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission and a standard all-wheel drive system.

Dodge didn’t mention any pricing adjustments for the Hornet R/T, so it will presumably continue to start at $41,645. Regardless, the new pricing for the Durango and Hornet will go into effect on March 6 and they exclude a $1,595 destination fee.
