- Lanzante has teased a limited edition model that pays tribute to their win at Le Mans in 1995.
- Project 95-59 pays tribute to the McLaren F1 GTR and will debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
- The car will have a central driver seat as well as a power-to-weight ratio of 700 hp per ton.
Lanzante and McLaren go together like peanut butter and jelly, and the firm has previously unveiled a number of high-profile models including a limited edition P1 Spider. They’re at it again with an all-new car codenamed Project 95-59.
That cryptic codeword pays tribute to Lanzante’s win at the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans in the #59 McLaren F1 GTR. Now, 30 years later, the company aims to honor that triumph with its “most ambitious project to date.”

Lanzante isn’t saying much at this point, but confirmed the car will be a “limited-run, bespoke-engineered model based on a McLaren platform.” The company went on to say it will have a three-seat interior with the driver located in the center. The model also promises to have a useful amount of luggage room and a targeted power-to-weight ratio of 700 hp (522 kW / 710 PS) per ton.
The car was designed by Paul Howse, who previously worked for McLaren and has penned the exterior designs of the P1, P1 GTR, and 720S. He has also worked with Lanzante on the P1 Spider and that helps to explain why it looks like an OEM product.

Little else is known about Project 95-59, but a sketch of the car suggests it will have unique bodywork as well as pronounced rear fins. We can also see a flowing glass roof as well as a sizable front splitter. They’re joined by aggressive side skirts and what appears to be a rounded rear wing.
