Named after its Mexican collector, Carlos Peralta, the coachbuilt special carries more than just his moniker—it’s a reflection of his high-end tastes. The Peralta S was designed by Fabrizio Giugiaro, drawing heavy inspiration from Giorgetto Giugiaro’s iconic 1972 Maserati Boomerang concept, which remains one of the most memorable designs of the era.
A Wedge That Means Business
Much like the Tesla Cybertruck, the Peralta S features an exposed metal body with a wedge shape. However, unlike the Cybertruck, it’s made of aluminum rather than stainless steel alloy—and it doesn’t look like it was forged from industrial-grade Lego bricks by a toddler with a fondness for big ideas and little impulse control.
The bodywork is crafted by hand from aluminum, with a mirror-polished finish that blends seamlessly into the large glass surfaces for a striking look of linearity. The design continues the wedge theme popular in the ’70s, featuring a “single unbroken arc from front to rear,” which makes it look as though it’s slicing through the air at all times.
