- Inkas developed an armor package for ‘high-risk individuals’ driving the new Land Cruiser.
- The entire passenger cell of the Toyota can withstand gunshots and grenade blasts.
- A slew of other options are also available, including reinforced bumpers and a siren.
With the Toyota Land Cruiser back on sale in the US, it was only a matter of time before an aftermarket specialist built an armored version of the new 250 series. That time has now come, and the company is Inkas. The Toronto-based firm offers armor packages for many cars and SUVs and their hardened Land Cruiser is one of the first to hit the market.
If you drive around in a current Land Cruiser and need protection from external threats, this is it. According to Inkas, their package has been designed for “high-risk individuals,” but could also suit law enforcement, corporate clients, and government officials.

The entire passenger cell of the Land Cruiser has been upgraded, offering protection from rifle fire and grenades. Inkas has also fitted military-grade ballistic glass and an armored door overlap system to ensure no ammunition penetrates the door seams. An armored bulkhead partition further ups the safety as does an armored enclosure for the fuel tank and run-flat tires.
More options are also available. Customers can choose to have the engine bay wrapped in armor, a fire suppression system, and even an escape hatch on the roof. As for onboard toys, a night vision camera, a siren/PA system, LED strobe lights, heavy-duty wheels, reinforced bumpers, and an oxygen filtration system should have you covered.
One of the highlights of Inkas’ new Land Cruiser is that it looks just like a regular Land Cruiser. That means owners will be able to blend into the crowd rather than sticking out like a sore thumb and attracting unwanted attention, which we guess is a good thing when you have “external threats” to worry about.
