• The new concept will preview the future of the Alfa Romeo brand.
  • The teaser image indicates a sleek, low-slung design.
  • Alfa Romeo says the car will deliver dynamism and driving pleasure.

Alfa Romeo is a company driven by passion, and at next month’s Paris Motor Show, it will unveil a dramatic concept car which it claims “is the car every Alfista has long been waiting for.” That’s a big statement for the Italian brand, which is under pressure to deliver something exceptional.

A short teaser video previewing the new model was first shared on social media, set to a catchy soundtrack and featuring glimpses of some of the brand’s most iconic road cars and concepts over the decades. Alfa Romeo has also released a separate teaser image, giving us a slightly better idea of what it’s working on.

It’s hard to say exactly what is being shown in the teaser, but we suspect it may be a part of the car’s rear section where a large air intake is visible. Alfa Romeo describes the concept as a “vision for the future.” With that in mind, we suspect it’ll introduce several new design elements that’ll influence forthcoming Alfa Romeo models.

Alfa Romeo adds that the concept “draws inspiration from Italy” and will deliver the sportiness, dynamism, and driving pleasure that enthusiasts have come to expect from the brand’s models. The bright red paint will no doubt add to the car’s allure.

A New Halo?

There’s no word on whether Alfa Romeo plans to build a production version based on the concept. We hope it would be a new halo car, hopefully costing far less than the multi-million-dollar 33 Stradale.

Earlier this year, Alfa Romeo teased its next-generation compact SUV that will eventually replace the Tonale. This new model is expected to rival the likes of the BMW X2, Cupra Formentor, and Audi Q3 Sportback.
