Mercedes wants to clear inventory of 2026 Maybach S 680 models in the United States, and to help do so, it’s announced a frankly ridiculous incentive for the luxury sedan. The incentive is so generous you could buy a well-equipped Mercedes-AMG C 43 from the money saved.
It’s been revealed that the 2026 Mercedes-Maybach S 680 is now available with a dealer cash incentive worth $70,000. Previously, this incentive had been set at $35,000, which already was very generous, but clearly wasn’t enough for Mercedes to sell as many units as quickly as it would have liked.

As noted by CarsDirect, you won’t see dealerships advertising this incentive, however, so it’s likely many in the market for a new Maybach don’t even know about it. Additionally, the incentive is dealer cash, rather than being an immediate rebate or discount applied to the MSRP of the vehicle. As such, it’s up to dealers to decide whether they’d like to pocket the $70,000 themselves as additional profit, or instead pass it on to the consumer.
Inventory Is Tight
In addition, Mercedes has just 34 examples of the 2026 S 680 in its US inventory at the moment, and these vehicles might be snapped up quite quickly. Local prices for the S 680 start at $245,750, so this incentive represents a 28 percent discount. Those who have a little less to spend can opt for the S 580, priced from $208,500, but also currently available with a $45,000 incentive.
It’s also worth noting that the 2026 models miss out on many new features introduced earlier this year with the facelifted version, hitting the US market as a 2027 model. Based on the updated S-Class, the new Maybach range includes visual modifications, including new LED headlights and taillights, and several interior advancements. These include the largest MB.OS infotainment system, even better rear seats, a new active suspension system, and in the S 580, the brand’s new 4.0-liter flat-plane crank twin-turbo V8.
