Up until Chevrolet unveiled the C8-generation Corvette ZR1 and ZR1X, the brand’s mid-engined V8 halo had been competing firmly in the mid-tier supercar class. With the ZR1 and ZR1X, Chevy now has a legitimate hypercar rival in its family. Next year, you could be the owner of one without paying a single cent.
Eager to raise some funds, the National Corvette Museum Foundation has launched an exciting new sweepstakes that gives everyday folks like you and me the opportunity to own a 2026 Corvette ZR1 without having to deal with a dealership, pesky markups, or the fiercely competitive used market.

For your chance of winning, you can donate as little as $25 to get 18 entries into the draw, or as much as $2,000 for 4,000 entries, greatly improving your chance of winning. But, times are tough, so not everyone has the spare funds to give to the Corvette museum. Fortunately, you can also enter the sweepstakes for free.
A few hoops have to be jumped through to use this method. To get 18 entries without making a donation, you can follow the Sweepstakes website, complete the required fields, and submit a request. You must then print off this request and a QR code and post it to an address in Boulder, Colorado.
The sweepstakes is available to residents of all states in the US, excluding Washington. Perhaps the only sliver of disappointing news is that the sweepstakes will run through to June 30, 2027, and the draw won’t take place until July 13, 2027, so if you’re in desperate need to have a ZR1 parked in your garage, you might be better off selling a kidney and buying one.
Beyond the eventual winner receiving the keys to a 2026 Corvette ZR1, with the 3LZ trim level no less, buyers will take delivery through the National Corvette Museum, receive a one-year membership to the facility, and enjoy a VIP tour of the museum.
