After the MiTo Racer, Alfa’s special trim edition fest at this year’s Geneva Motor Show continues with the new Giulietta Collezione.

According to the Italians, with this new version, the “Giulietta confirms its lead role in this segment”. Unless Alfa positions the five-year old Giulietta in a special segment of its own, we kind of find that hard to believe/understand, but feel free to judge for yourself.

Alfa says the Collezione is a top-of-the range edition targeting “demanding and elegant clients”. What that translates to are modest styling touches on both the interior and exterior along with some added content.

On the outside, it features black mirror caps and 17-in or optionally 18-in alloy wheels with burnished finishing, and an optional contrasting black sunroof, while inside, there are new black and grey leather seats with contrasting stitching, and grey satin-chrome features on the dashboard, door panels and central tunnel.

Equipment features include Alfa’s new Bluetooth-enabled multi-media Uconnect device with an integrated 5-in or optionally6.5-in touchscreen, the DNA system with Q2 and DST electronic differential, dual-zone automatic temperature control and more.

European sales will start in April with engine options including the 120PS 1.6-liter, 150PS 2.0-liter and175PS 2.0-liter diesels, and 120PS and 170PS 1.4-liter petrols.
