From what we’ve heard so far, the Polaris Slingshot three-wheeler is not a bad car / motorbike. It is let down by somewhat vague and dead steering and all of the drawbacks that vehicles of this layout usually display, and yet it’s still somewhat endearing and not actually that bad a proposition.
There will definitely be those who will want a Slingshot just to be different, a task it is undeniably up to with its unique design. On top of that, it has a great-feeling gearbox, decent poke from the 2.4-liter GM four-pot and a waterproof interior.
KBB drove it from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and back and in the end they called it “kind of enjoyable.” Their excellent review highlights the ten aspects that define the Slignshot, both positive and negative – if you can live with all of those, then you could be a prospective Slingshot buyer yourself, as it’s not really that expensive for the kind of attention you will be the center of wherever you go.
