A feistier version of the new Smart ForTwo with the Brabus moniker is on its way and our spies have spotted it testing in Sweden.
As amusing as it may have been to see them on the production model, those Mickey Mouse ear-like spotlights used on the tester are there only to shed some light on the road during the cold winter nights.
The covered up front apron, rear diffuser and twin tailpipes are there to stay, while the final production car will get a few more special cosmetic treats, such as bigger wheels and tires, a unique front grille, and possibly different side skirts.
To justify the Brabus name, the heated up ForTwo will get a pumped up three-cylinder turbocharged engine delivering anywhere from 110hp to 130hp driving the rear wheels, with Smart likely offering both manual and dual clutch automatic transmissions.
Renault is also working on a similar sports version of the related Twingo.
