After babbling about US buyers “snapping up nearly 20,000 Equinox compact SUVs in January”, Chevy’s PR informed us about the debut of the revised 2016MY at next week’s Chicago Auto Show.
That’s all GM had to say about the facelift, but they did attach a cropped image of the front end that reveals the re-shaped headlamps and re-sculpted bumper with the five-point fog lamp units that seem to incorporate LED daytime running lights.
We gather that Chevy will (or least it should) make some changes to the interior of their compact SUV that was originally launched back in 2009 without gaining any notable updates over the years.
The current 2015 Equinox is offered with a choice of two gasoline engines, a 182hp 2.4-liter inline-four and a 301hp 3.6-liter direct-injection V6, both available with optional AWD.
