The Nissan Juke Nismo RS just got a lot more capable, in the snow, that is (and probably on water if you drive it at high enough speed). It’s riding on custom tank treads that replace the wheels on all four corners.
Apparently, it’s capable of hitting 100 km/h or 62 mph, and thanks to its variable transmission, gearing shouldn’t be an issue – having such a transmission, it’s actually closer than most cars to a snowmobile…
According to Autoblog, which quotes a Nissan spokesperson, “it was built as a support vehicle for an ice-driving event in Lapland, Finland.”
No word on what they plan to do with it from now on, but Nissan did tweet about it saying “it will be continued.” We wonder if it’s not also a reference to the current US snow storm.
