Although Seat is not officially present on New Zealand’s car market, the brand’s marketing department thought it would be a good idea to ship the new Leon X-Perience there for a great photo shoot.
The jacked-up Seat Leon estate travelled more than 19,300 kilometers (11,992 miles) away from its home in Martorell, Spain, to explore New Zealand’s spectacular landscape.
Seat documented the trip with photos and a video which show the Leon X-Perience driving over broad plains, on mountain roads, along the coast and through volcanic landscape dotted with natural hot springs, with the goal being to prove it is a match for any terrain.
As a quick reminder, the Leon X-Perience has a 27mm higher ground clearance than the Leon ST it’s based on and comes with standard permanent all-wheel drive system featuring a Haldex multi-plate clutch with hydraulic actuation and electronic control.
It can be equipped with TDI diesel and TSI gasoline engines with a power output ranging from 110PS (109hp) to 184PS (181hp) and manual or DSG gearbox.
