If you’re the proud owner of a pre-facelift, 2004-2008 Lamborghini Gallardo and you’ve always thought you could go a lot faster, you should definitely give Dallas Performance a call.

Perhaps few people remember this, but when it first came out, the Gallardo was basically the “it” car for anybody looking for an everyday easy to drive, easy to push to the limit supercar. It gave the only other all-wheel drive bruiser (the 911 Turbo) a run for its money until the day it stepped aside for the Huracan.

Those early models were quick though, pushing 510 HP out of that V10 naturally aspirated engine and getting to 62 mph in as little as 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 309 km/h. Afterwards came the LP560-4 and the original Superleggera in 2007. Those were already 3 second cars.

So if you happen to own one and you feel like it would look good with twin turbochargers and a race spec engine, Dallas Performance has you covered with multiple tuning packages that can raise your maximum power output from either 510 HP or 560 HP to anywhere between 800 WHP and over 1,600 WHP, depending on the type of package you want to purchase. But recently, a little footnote caught our eye.

It seems like they’ve worked out a way to get more than 2,000 WHP out of that V10 engine, now that’s wheel horse power! So it’s clear that these cars not only run fast but also work fast mechanically. The power transition has to be incredibly smooth throughout the drivetrain in order to get all that power down.

Odds are the whole system will set you back well over $100,000 since the 1,250 WHP package costs $89,700 and then you still have the 1,600 WHP one, about which you have to inquire in order to get a figure.
