It’s not every day that you get to see two Lambos go at it for an entire kilometer. Thankfully there are some improvised drag strips which can accommodate such endeavors and even though one might imagine that the Aventador is the obvious winner when faced with the smaller, less powerful Huracan, we’re pretty surprised by the result.

Yes, the Aventador won, it’s not like we really spoiled it for you, but it just goes to show how extraordinary of a machine the Huracan is for basically holding its ground after its driver didn’t manage to have as fast a reaction time as the driver in the Aventador.

We should also mention that the Aventador LP700-4, a 700 PS V12 engined car, capable of hitting 217 mph and with a 0 to 62 time of just 2.9 seconds, had a bit of after-market work done on it as it featured the Capristo Stage 1 tuning kit, giving it an extra 30 horsepower.

The Huracan LP610-4 has a 610 PS V10 engine and has a top speed of 202 mph, hitting 62 mph in 3.2 seconds. It’s around 150kg lighter than the Aventador and we can’t help but appreciate its massive performance when facing off against one of the fastest cars ever made.

When you’re trying to put all that power down from a stand still, you really need a performance oriented all-wheel drive system – which is one of the biggest reasons why most rear-wheel drive supercar owners prefer to do rolling starts when going up against cars such as the 911 Turbo, Huracan, Aventador, GT-R, R8 V10 and so on.

Also, both of the cars in this video managed to hit the quarter mile mark well under 11 seconds which is very impressive.
