Lexus has announced it will add a second F brand high performance model to its range to sit alongside the RC F coupe. The automaker has also confirmed that the new vehicle will be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show next month.

Judging from the two teaser images released and from previous reports, there’s a high probability that we’re looking at the GS F, the performance version of Lexus’ mid-size sedan.

Compared to the standard Lexus GS, the GS F features modified headlights with boomerang-shaped DRLs that remind of those from the NX SUV, a more aggressive front bumper and new alloy wheels. Power is expected to come from a 5.0-liter V8, which should produce around 500 hp.
