Starting from $10,000 you could be just like Arnold Schwarzenegger circa 1992 with an ex-military Humvee.

Army Times reported Friday that 25 of possibly 4,000 Humvees will go on the auction block beginning Wednesday. These vehicles, models that are no longer used by the Defense Department, would otherwise have been scrapped before restrictions on selling decommissioned military vehicles such as these was lifted.

Most of the first 25 auction-bound Humvees are sitting at Hill Air Force Base in Utah, made between 1987 and the mid-1990s, according to Army Times, with between 1,000 and 36,000 miles. They’re being auctioned off on GovPlanet.org and will be cleared for off-road use only, so you won’t be able to drive them down to the Wal-Mart or state capital building.

There are plenty of other terms you need to meet in order to get the OK to take a Humvee home. Oh, and picking it up is another thing you’ll have to figure out.

The Department of Defense will examine the rest of the 4,000 obsolete Humvees and determine if they’re suitable for sale, so look for another auction if you miss this one – and come up with a good reason to buy one of these vehicles.
