The 2016 Chevrolet Spark will share underpinnings and the overall shape with the recently unveiled Opel Karl and Vauxhall Viva twins.
Taking this into account, Photoshop artist Theophilus Chin thought a safe way to see what the 2016 Spark will look like is to apply the bow tie badge, Chevrolet-specific grille and new headlights to the Opel Karl.
The result is pretty convincing and gives us a rough idea of the next-generation Spark’s design. The separate grilles, the shape of the headlights and of the fog lights surrounds are all styling cues seen on the new Chevrolet Cruze unveiled in China, which is why this rendering may be pretty close to the real thing.
What Theophilus Chin got wrong is the positioning of the rear door handles. As we saw in spy photos earlier this year, the new Spark will have the handles mounted up high next to the side window, just like the current model. On the Opel Karl and Vauxhall Viva, the rear handles are placed in a conventional position on the doors.
