The current Ford WRC car is a Fiesta; that’s pretty cool, but this made up mid-engined idea is even better. It’s the work of designer Ken Nagasaka who thought the Blue Oval could go further with its rally implication and create a bespoke model along these lines.
His idea is this futuristic mid-engined model dubbed RS160, a car that would obviously require Ford to build a limited run of homologation specials for the road. Power would come from a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine, with power obviously going to all four wheels.
The concept is unique because it integrates downforce-generating spoilers into the body, it’s very aerodynamic and provides efficient cooling for the engine and all its aggregates.
What do you think: is there something to this car, or should ford just stick to widening the Fiesta and spoiling it with spoilers?
