If you’re a fan of understated tuning jobs, you’ll probably like what German firm IMSA has done to the new Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG 4MATIC Coupe.
The exterior mods are limited to a lowered stance, courtesy of an electronic module that allows the air suspension to drop down a few more millimeters closer to the ground, and a new set of 21-inch IMSA forged lightweight alloy wheels wrapped around in 255/35 rubber at the front and 295/30 at the rear.
The rest of the package involves the S63 AMG’s 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which after receiving a new software module, a complete exhaust system, a different air cooler, sports air filter and modified turbochargers, produces 720PS (710hp) and 1,080Nm (796 lb-ft) of peak torque, up from 577hp (585PS) and 900 Nm (663 lb-ft) respectively.
IMSA says that it’s currently working on a complete aerodynamic kit for the S-Class Coupe AMG, which will be released in the near future.
