In case you didn’t know it, Gemballa has two more Mirage GTs left in its warehouse out of a total production of 25 cars.
They’re not clear about it, but from what we understand, to get the Mirage GT, you’ll have to provide the Porsche Carrera GT donor car – it wouldn’t make much sense for Gemballa to be holding on to such an expensive and rare supercar seven years after its production ended in 2007.
“The MIRAGE GT is a real collector’s item. This is attested to by the fact that these cars have lost hardly any of their value,” said Gemballa managing director Andreas Schwarz. “When the series is no longer being produced, the collector’s value is going to rise again. Many Arabian royals own such a car.”
Besides the carbon fiber body modifications, the Mirage GT package includes new wheels, uprated suspension, and an engine tune pushing the 5.7-liter V10’s output from 612PS to 670PS and peak torque from 590Nm to 630Nm allowing the mid-engine model to hit 100km/h (62mph) in 3.7 seconds and top out at 335km/h (208mph).
Gemballa’s next model will be a new Mirage based on the Porsche 918 Spyder.
“With its very aggressive silhouette and coming in another limited edition of only 25 cars, the new GEMBALLA star may well become an even more exclusive counterpart to McLaren’s P1 and Ferrari’s LaFerrari,” said the tuner.
