Audi has released a new teaser video of the concept car it plans to reveal at the Los Angeles Auto Show and we have to admit this study stirs our imagination.
The as-yet-unnamed concept car (said to preview an A9 luxury four-door coupe) is the first study designed by Audi’s new styling boss Marc Lichte. In the new official video, he stresses that this concept previews the brand’s future design language, so it’s a pretty important vehicle.
He also lists several cars he finds inspiring, such as the Audi 90 Quattro IMSA GTO race car, the first-generation Audi A8 and the first-generation Audi TT. So, will we see cues from these vehicles on the new study? Probably, as Lichte says he wishes the face of Audi will display a more emotional design in the future.
This seems to be the case with the new study, with the video offering a glimpse of the car’s front end. The aggressive bumper, flattened trapezoidal grille and sharp headlights indicate that this concept car means business. Stay tuned for more in the coming days as we get closer to the Los Angeles Auto Show press days (November 18-20).
