Do you live in Mexico and feel that Fiat’s badge isn’t manly enough for a pickup truck?
The Fiat-Chrysler (FCA) group has you covered with the launch of the sheep-badged Ram 700.
We don’t know why, but FCA decided to offer both the Fiat Strada and its newly-born twin, the 700, in the Mexican market. The only difference between the two models is the badge they wear, otherwise, they’re identical.
The 700, which we guess gets its name from being less than half the size of the Ram 1500 (not really, but you get the idea), can be had in regular and extended cab versions, both powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine hooked up to a 5sp manual.
Prices in Mexico start at $182,900 (before you pop an eye and spit out your coffee, learn that’s the sign for the Mexican Peso) or about US$13,600 for the single cab, and from $241,900 or US$18,000 for the extended cab.
