Skoda, being “a Euro brand from the east”, used to be perceived as bargain basement, particularly in “western Europe,” even though it’s really from the center of the continent…
However, the jokes are now really a thing of the past, and even the brand’s cheapest and smallest car has very modern design and a premium allure to it – when it came out, we said it looked quite a lot like an Audi A1.
So, we ask you if X-Tomi’s idea of putting cheapo non-painted bare plastic bumpers on it, as well as mini-pickup hubcaps on it makes any sense? Think of it as the equivalent of the Dacia Sandero in Access trim – it kind of looks like one too…
We assume this version would be devoid of equipment inside too. Wind-up windows on all four corners, maybe? A slab of plastic to cover the center stack hole where the audio should be? Maybe even no height adjustment for the driver’s seat…
