This is a dupe alert over a video of an angry dad smashing his nerdy-looking son’s Mitsubishi SUV with an Xbox. And yes, it’s fake.
For those of you who might think that’s not necessary, we’ll first remind you of the infamous World of Warcraft freak-out video showing a teenager shoving a remote control up his a$$ when his mom cancelled his WoW account that has garnered more than 80 million views to date.
We’ll then bring your attention to the YouTube channel’s author, McJuggerNuggets, and a related clip he posted under the title “Psycho Dad Shreds Video Games” with a lawnmower that has been viewed 12.4 million times since August, 2014.
That’s more than six times the hits (2 million) of /DRIVE’s Ferrari F40 and F50 video, which according to Chris Harris, grossed a little under $8,000, while costing the team some $14,500 to produce.
I believe you can do the math and see why a used $50 Xbox from Craigslist and a few hundred dollars in broken windows might just be worth the hassle…
