Opel will auction seven Opel Adam city cars designed by musician and photographer Bryan Adams, with all proceeds to be donated to the “Bryan Adams Foundation”.
Built as part of a collaboration between Opel and the Canadian artist, the limited edition Adam by Bryan Adams features a camouflage look and… that’s about it. However, the interior features additional equipment including black leather trim, leather steering wheel and the IntelliLink infotainment system with 7-inch color.
Power comes from the 100PS (99hp) 1.4-liter petrol engine with Start/Stop technology. Apart from designing the camouflaged Adam, Bryan Adams was also involved in the artistic direction and shooting for the 2014 Opel Calendar. The calendar was presented to the public in Munich earlier this year under the name “THE ADAM BY BRYAN ADAMS”.
The seven Opel Adam vehicles customized by Bryan Adams are auctioned on Germany’s largest charity auction portal, United Charity. The auction has begun and bids for the camouflage look Adam city cars can be placed online at www.unitedcharity.de/OpelAdam until November 21, 2014. All proceeds will go to the “Bryan Adams Foundation” which looks after people in need around the world.
“Bryan Adams told me a lot about his foundation during the shooting for our Adam calendar. Amongst others, the foundation is working on new learning opportunities in Afghanistan or global environmental projects. We wholeheartedly support these activities and would be delighted if our camouflage Adams achieve the highest possible proceeds,” said Opel Chief Marketing Officer Tina Müller.
