A partially camouflaged Nissan GT-R bounced into our spies’ radar today while testing in Germany and the million-dollar question is: what is it?
Before we lay down our theories, let’s see what’s different about this tester. As evidenced by the camo, all changes are located at the front end of the car that gets a redesigned front bumper with new aerodynamic elements, including a lower lip spoiler.
Our spies think it could be one of three things and we totally agree:
a) An early test mule for the next generation GT-R that could get a modified version of the Nissan group’s newly announced twin-turbo V6 hybrid powertrain introduced in the Infiniti Q80 Concept at the Paris Auto Show
b) Nissan is working on a light, model year facelift for the entire GT-R range to keep it fresh for another year or so before its replacement appears
c) The Japanese firm is readying a new special or final edition of the current car as a last farewell to the series
Feel free to drop your thoughts and speculations in the comments.
