More or less, we know what to expect on the styling front for the 2016 Cayman, but the question remains as to whether Porsche will present its new flat-4 engines on the facelift model.
In their most recent hunt, our spy shooters photographed a thinly camouflaged prototype for the facelifted Cayman, which they told us, sounded more like a flat-four- than a flat-six-powered model.
Porsche bosses have admitted that their new line of turbocharged four-cylinder boxer units will make up to 400PS (396hp), significantly more than the current Cayman’s most potent flat-six, the 340PS (335hp) 3.4-liter unit in the GTS.
Other reports have mentioned that the line will include 1.6-liter units with 210hp, 2.0-liter with 286bhp and 2.5-liter with 360hp, but this information has not been internally confirmed.
As for the rest of the revisions, the 2016MY Cayman will get a nip and tuck on both ends, much like the Panamera and Cayenne facelifts, along with some interior updates.
