Previously sold only in the state of California, the money-losing Fiat 500e has now been made available to EV lovers located further north in neighboring Oregon.
Available to lease for $199 a month for 36 months with $999 due at signing, the 2015 Fiat 500e features two new exterior colors and a redesigned center console for the new model year. The two paint colors added for 2015 to the existing five are Luce Blue (light blue with a pearl finish) and Celeste (light blue). As for the center console, it now features a new cup holder design and an additional USB port that is fully functional and integrated with the radio.
“Bringing the Fiat 500e to Oregon gives more customers in this environmentally minded state the opportunity to enjoy the Italian style and engaging driving dynamics of the Fiat 500, but with zero tailpipe emissions,” said Jason Stoicevich, Head of Fiat brand for North America.
For those who want to buy the Fiat 500e rather than lease it, the EV is available at Fiat studios in California and Oregon with a $32,650 starting price, including an $850 destination charge. However, eligible California residents may purchase the Fiat 500e for as low as $20,600, after federal credits, state incentives and Fiat rebates are included.
The all-electric Fiat 500e delivers a combined city/highway driving range of 87 miles (140 kilometers), with the automaker saying city driving range is typically greater than 100 miles (161 kilometers).
