A parking employee from Atlanta, Georgia, proudly shared these photos of a Porsche Carrera GT that he booted for not feeding the meter with the caption, “I booted a porshe, for the peopleon Reddit.

Now, this conversation can go both ways, but before you voice your opinion, you may want to take a minute to get a few more details.

The employ who goes under the nickname IrLoserBoy said this was a private parking lot.

When asked by another forum member, “Why not just ticket it? I’ve never seen boots around here in SoCal, seems like an east coast thing”, he replied:

“This is private property. If we wrote ‘tickets’ people would just throw them away. So we boot and the fine goes up each day until the fine is paid. Then we let the car leave.”

And it’s not like the Porsche owner wasn’t aware of the consequences:

“The meter for the lot is about 10 feet in front of the car,” said IrLoserBoy. “It has more signs than any other lot and a demonstration wheel with a boot chained to it.

You may have noticed that the clamps did not fit on the Carrera GT’s massive rear wheels. So did forum member AKADriver, who commented, “Armed with this knowledge, I’m going to put a set of 335s on my Miata and park wherever I want.”
