Audi has released new photos and information about its all-new TT Coupe and TTS Coupe models ahead of their commercial debut this autumn.

Using a new evolution of the Audi Space Frame (ASF) based on VW Group’s modular transverse matrix (MQB) platform, the new generation Audi TT is up to 50 kilograms (110 lbs) lighter than the previous model.

At launch, the new TT will be available with two engines, a TDI and a TFSI unit, while the TTS will feature the top-of-the-line TFSI unit rated at 310PS (306hp). For the TT, the base engine is the 2.0 TDI Ultra with 184PS (181hp) and 380Nm (280lb-ft) of torque, which averages 4.2 l/100 km (56 mpg US) – equating to 110 g of CO2 per kilometer.

The 2.0 TFSI produces 230PS (227hp) and 370Nm (273 lb-ft) of torque in the TT and 310PS (306hp) and 380Nm (280lb-ft) in the TTS. The top model sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.6 seconds.

All engines are mated with a standard six-speed manual transmission, while a six-speed S tronic is available as an option. All engines feature a standard stop-start system. The new TT is available with the latest evolution of Quattro all-wheel drive, offered as an option on the TT 2.0 TFSI and as standard on the TTS.

The Audi TT retains the 2+2 seating arrangement and has a boot volume of 305 liters (10.8 cu-ft), 13 liters (0.5 cu-ft) more than the previous generation. The new TT arrives in German dealerships this fall with a starting price of €35,000 ($45,348).
