The rumored upcoming Ford Focus RS has been a source of conflicting insider reports. Its power figure has steadily grown with each one, and this latest one also sees some of that extra oomph going to the rear wheels, as well.
Road&Track cites insider information that it’s going to be a 325 – 350 hp VW Golf R fighter that will actually also make its way to US shores, contrary to some older rumors.
They add that even though it will eclipse some versions of the Mustang in terms of performance, it will not really be an issue since it will be a much lower-volume model.
As for the all-wheel drive system, it won’t be the one Ford already uses in its lineup of regular cars – it’s a more advanced variant, with full torque vectoring capabilities that should make for an enticing driving machine if proven true.
