You just can’t have any fun these days; a Massachusetts man was arrested for driving a black and white Maserati GranTurismo decorated to look like a police car.

The unnamed man was charged with impersonating a police officer after a Braintree cop pulled him over this past weekend.

The Maserati was painted (or perhaps wrapped) in a flat black hue with white doors sporting police-style shields and related decals like K-9 and 9-1-1, but instead of the motto “Protect and Serve”, it read, “Decepticons punish and enslave”.

Braintree Deputy Police Chief Wayne Foster told the Patriot Ledger that when the officer pulled the man over, he told him that he thought he was helping cops “because other drivers noticed him and slowed down, thinking it was a police vehicle”.

Obviously, not the brightest excuse one can think of in this situation…

H/T to Maria, Jerry and Jalopnik!
