With a starting price that is about the same as a pretty respectable house, the Mercedes-Benz S 63 AMG Coupe in 4Matic guise should obviously offer a similar value with that of a house. Just by looking at the insane specifications, the lavish interior and the gorgeous exterior, we can say you sure get a lot of bang for your buck.
Powered by a twin-turbocharged, 5.5-liter V8 with direct injection, the S 63 AMG Coupe can hit 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standing start in just 3.9 seconds in 4Matic guise or 4.3 seconds in the rear-wheel drive version.
Majorly responsible for that more than presentable amount of performance is the engine’s output, which gives no less than 585hp and a tire-torturing 900 Nm (664 lb ft) of torque.
Conventional wisdom says that superlatives are dangerous, especially when used excessively, but there are no unexceptional things about the S-Class Coupe (C217), especially in 63 AMG 4Matic guise.
This is why watching what is probably the most down-to-Earth review of a luxury car will help keep your feet firmly on the ground.
The Germans from Ausfahrt TV (which means “highway exit” in German, you jokers!), have recently started doing English versions of their ever-increasing number of car reviews, which should be a nice surprise for people only accustomed with British and/or American car reviews on YouTube.
Since the video itself is rather long and the strong accent or very German sense of humor may prove to be a bit boring to some people, it is one of most thorough reviews you can get this side of a German car magazine and in video form.
