Well, that Escalated quickly; a repossession that went awry in Spartanburg, South Carolina, was recorded on film by the owner of Mission Towing & Recovery, Scotty Fowler.
Fowler and his team attempted to recover an older generation Cadillac Escalade this past Sunday, but they were interrupted by the owner of the SUV, LaKeisha Smith, who told CBS news that her friends call her Kee4Es.
The repo man told Fox Carolina that the frantic 29-year old woman bit him and then jumped inside the Escalade and tried to break free – apparently the Cadillac was RWD, so that didn’t work out…
“I was holding the door open to keep her from starting the car and she bit me,” Fowler said, adding that he then took out his phone and began recording the incident.
After seeing that she couldn’t drive away, the woman then proceeded to smash the SUV’s windows, walking barefoot on the broken glasses on the road. Fowler said the woman left the scene before the cops arrived, but even though he reported the incident, the Spartanburg County deputy did not immediately apprehend Smith.
However, the police charged her with assault and battery third-degree for biting Fowler, and the woman was booked into county jail on Tuesday, before a judge let her go on a $2,130 personal recognizance bond.
CBS spoke to the woman after the incident and this is what she had to say:
“I gotta say, I was funny as s—! It was funny as h—,” Smith said. “I mean like- it’s me! Miss Kee4Es. You never know what to expect from me. I really just wanted to show my a– anyway-get it off my chest,” Smith added. “When I saw him, I just really went ludicrous for the h— of it, because I knew then that I didn’t want the car.”
