Audi has released an anniversary model for the recently facelifted A7 Sportback to celebrate 25 years of its TDI technology. With 322hp (326PS) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque, the Audi A7 Sportback 3.0 TDI Competition brings more power and exclusive equipment.
The model is powered by the 3.0-liter TDI V6 biturbo clean diesel that has been modified to produce 7 hp more than the standard model. There is also a boost function that provides an additional 20hp for a brief period when the driver accelerates in full. Thanks to the maximum torque of 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) available between 1,400 and 2,800 rpm, the Audi A7 Sportback 3.0 TDI Competition sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.1 seconds.
Average fuel consumption is 6.1 l/100 km (38.6 US mpg), which equates to CO2 emissions of 162 grams per kilometer. The engine is mated to an 8-speed Tiptronic transmission.
The special edition model features the S line sport package that includes a 20mm (0.79in) lowered suspension, 20-inch five spoke W design wheels with painted sides, black exterior mirror housings and high-gloss black tailpipe trims, among other things. The Audi A7 Sportback 3.0 TDI Competition is offered in Daytona Gray, Misano Red, Nardo Gray and Sepang Blue.
The car features a black interior with sport seats upholstered in Valcona leather in black or lunar silver and decorated with S line embossing. Aluminum and Beaufort wood inlay and Quattro logos on the door sill trims complete the changes.
Orders for the Audi A7 Sportback 3.0 TDI Competition begin in early August, with deliveries scheduled to begin this autumn. Prices start from €72,000 ($98,072) in Germany.
