Although it has already been discontinued in other markets, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution continues for the 2015 model year in the United States almost unchanged, except for some equipment upgrades. As you probably know, it’s the Lancer Evo’s last model year, as it will be discontinued for 2016. However, if you expected some farewell gifts such as a power increase or visual enhancements, you must have overrated Mitsubishi

For 2015, all the tenth-generation of the high-performance Lancer gets is a series of new amenities packages for the GSR trim level along with more comprehensive standard equipment.

All models get new heated side view mirrors with turn indicators and drop cup holder with lid, while the GSR model gets a new Premium Package that includes Sight and Sound Package plus leather seating, power glass sunroof, heated front seats, sound dampening enhancement and piano-black front console box with lids.

Standard features include the FUSE Hands-Free Link System, automatic climate control, leather-wrapped sport steering wheel with cruise and audio controls, a rear diffuser, a pronounced rear deck lid spoiler (standard on GSR) or a lower-profile rear lip spoiler (standard on MR).

As for the mechanical stuff, the Lancer Evolution is powered by the same turbocharged and intercooled DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder 2.0-liter engine producing 291 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 300 lb-ft (406 Nm) of torque from 4,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a standard 5-speed manual for the GSR trim level, while the premium MR model gets a 6-speed Twin-Clutch Sportronic Shift Transmission (TC-SST).

All models are fitted as standard with the Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) all-wheel drive system.
