By adventure vehicle, we mean the kind of off-roader you’d be able to drive through both the Amazon rainforest and the Sahara desert, with enough of your bags and friends along for the ride to make things interesting. This particular concept is the brainchild of Eduardo Galvani.

He’s a designer from Brazil and he set out to create a bulbous rear-engined van out of glass, titanium and carbon fiber. The result is called Nimbus and is funky to say the least, though only a 3D model with no hope of making it into production. It does ooze character though, and its look perfectly reflects the designer’s intent with it.

Power would come from a 180hp electric motor placed at the back, though the power would be sent to all four wheels for maximum traction.

Galvani has actually given a lot of thought to how it would operate and what its characteristics would be. He even dreamt up there would be many different programmable driving modes, an auto-pilot function, self-cleaning exterior finish and anti-theft gadgets too.

Weight for it fully laden would not be excessive, as the designer expects it to tip the scales at 1,620 kg or 3,570 lbs.
