Whoever said that being a spectator at a rally is a risk-free pastime, clearly hasn’t attended a race in person or even watched one on television or the web.

A group of four fans at a rally in Kaszuby, Poland, thought that a broken brick wall would not only give them a better view of the race and the cars, but also, protect them if something went wrong.

And in a way, it did, when a Citroen C2 rally car came flying off a corner smashing into the wall and throwing them into the air.

However, luck certainly played a role in the outcome, as according to Sports Illustrated, only one of the spectators and the driver were transferred to a local hospital with light injuries.
