BMW announced its pricing scheme for the all-new M3 saloon and M4 coupe models for the UK market, where it plans to sell 180 of the former and 1,000 of the latter, in the first full year of sales. The more practical four-door M3 kicks off at £56,175 OTR, while the more rakish 4-Series-based M4 starts from £56,635.
UK market cars will get standard-fit Adaptive M suspension, three-mode adjustable steering and new BMW M Compound brakes which “contribute to a substantial reduction in unsprung masses;” carbon-ceramics come at extra cost and get flashy gold calipers to boot.
Other standard features include a manual six-speed gearbox (M DCT with launch control is available), 19-inch M alloys, front and rear parking sensors, heated, electric front seats and power-folding mirrors, to name a few.
Options will be what truly define each M3 or M4 bought. Professional Navigation with 3D map capability, “Adaptive full LED headlights with an intelligent anti-dazzle High-beam Assistant and a further developed version of Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function. The optional M Head-up Display comes with additional, M-specific functions such as a gear display, rev counter and Optimum Shift Indicator.”
For those wanting an even more bespoke feel, the Individual program is available for either model.
