Jeep unveiled the 2018 Wrangler last week at the LA Auto Show and Redline Reviews were able to get up close and personal with the new off-roader, highlighting all of its important features and nuances in the video below.

Unquestionably our favorite 2018 Wrangler variant announced at the event is the two-door Rubicon, available with a plethora of unique body components that are sure to make it an absolute riot when off-roading.

For starters, Jeep has developed optional doors with large cut-outs in them, allowing drivers to look for rocks when driving. Additionally, the entire roof can be removed, as can the side windows. Heck, owners will even be able to lower the windshield by removing just four bolts. It then sits gently on rubberized mats on the hood and offers drivers a true open-air experience.

Another noteworthy feature of the Wrangler Rubicon are 33-inch tires and 17-inch wheels as standard. If that’s not enough, Jeep has also designed the off-roader to support 35-inch tires and a 2-inch lift kit.

From launch, the 2018 Wrangler will be available with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder from the Alfa Romeo Giulia. The V6 is offered with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a six-speed manual while the four-cylinder comes exclusively with the eight-speed.

In the coming years, both a 3.0-liter diesel and plug-in hybrid will be added to the powertrain range.
