Toyota’s Prius is as popular with the tuning crowd as Conway Twitty is with teenage girls, yet, every once in a while, some aftermarket specialist or creative owner comes to remind us that even the dorkiest of cars can get their five minutes of tuning fame.

The company responsible for the way that this Prius looks is Japan’s Kuhl Racing that went overboard on the stance and styling departments, with a full body aero kit that includes widened wheel arches and an abundance of spoilers and aprons, 19-inch wheels wrapped in 235/35-19R rubber and an air-suspension system that allows the car to kiss the ground you walk on.

The tuning continues inside the cabin where the Prius get a stainless steel roll cage, racing bucket seats, carbon fiber trims and a race-spec steering wheel.

With all these mods, we guess you’re expecting something spectacular under the hood, right? Mmm….wrong – unless you consider a power filter and racing hoses adequate for a car that can’t keep up with a Fiesta…
