Using a truck as a ramrod to stop a reckless teen trying to flee from the police in a stolen car sounds extreme and even dangerous, but once you see the first video below of said 14-year-old behind the wheel of the Hyundai Veloster he had stolen from his grandfather, you’ll probably end up justifying the actions of Bryson Rowley.

The Utah teen took off with his grandpa’s car and drove around for a few hours on Saturday. According to the Syracuse Police Department, the grandfather reported it stolen. The cops then found the car and attempted to pull the youngster over but he sped away.

During the chase, the teen suddenly turned into Founders Park in Syracuse, located approximately 30 miles north of Salt Lake City, speeding across the park as horrified children and their parents were scrambling to get out of harm’s way.

The police then called off the chase, but off-duty police officer Brandy Rowley decided to take action ramming the Hyundai with his truck and putting an end to the teen’s shenanigans.

“The person driving the truck could see it was turning back into the park, and he did not want the car to hit all of the children, or any of the children, and he actually pulled his truck in the way so the car collided with the truck,” Officer Erin Behm of the Syracuse Police Department told a Fox News affiliate.

Fortunately, no one was injured. The teen was taken into custody and placed in a juvenile detention center, according to The Blaze.
