You could say that Kristen L. Taylor from Florida was one extremely lucky person in a very unlucky situation when she narrowly escaped a train crash that wrecked her brand new Infiniti Q60 Coupe on Thursday. According to the police report, the 28-year old woman had recently purchased the manual gearbox coupe and was…still learning to drive a stick shift when the car stalled on a railroad crossing in Maitland, Florida.
The 145-ton locomotive hauling three passenger cars was about 300 feet (91 meters) away from the car when it started slowing down from a top speed of 45mph (72 km/h) to 35mph (56 km/h) as it was approaching the train station, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
Taylor was able to jump out of the car in the nick of time and escape unhurt, but her ride was destroyed.
