We have seen a fair share of McLaren P1 reviews filmed on the track, but I’m sure many of you wonder what the hypercar is like to drive on the eopen road. Autocar has an answer to this question, as Steve Sutcliffe had the chance to drive the P1 for three days on public roads, on the circuit and on an airfield and come up with a conclusion.

Yes, the P1 is remarkably usable on public roads. However, if you are planning to buy a McLaren P1 and you are worried about ride quality, don’t buy it. Sutcliffe says the P1 is quite uncomfortable on UK roads – though, I think we can agree than no one is that stupid to buy a 903 hp hypercar and hope for a comfortable ride on bumpy roads…

Scroll down to listen to the reviewer’s conclusions about the McLaren P1 and to see how it fares against the world’s quickest hot-hatch, the Mercedes A 45 AMG, in a drag race where the latter had a 5-second head start.
